Activity: 

  • Learning about maze generators
  • Start programming Project C game

Invested hours(I'm counting only hours at home):

  • Learning about maze generators: 1 h
  • Project C core development: 8 h

Outcome:

  • Chosen and implemented algorithm to generate maze
  • Developed core gameplay of Project C game, WebGL build

Notes:

  • Using Depth-first with Backtracking algorithm to generate maze, not ideal but suits me the best I believe, implementation was not that hard (it was hard but I expected to be harder .. xD)
  • I choose to not use any assets from the library, I created everything myself (and yeah, there is nothing fancy, player is literally red dot, but I wanted to make it simple to not distract the user), the aesthetics chosen (pastel colors) are really cool in my opinion and still simple to not distract the user
